Brian Torres, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Brian Torres serves as Athens Capital Management’s Chief Financial Officer. Joining the team in 2009, Brian leads accounting and financial reporting and provides counsel on a wide range of business matters.
Brian served as Operations Manager at Spectrum Global Fund Administration before joining Athens, where he oversaw the financial reporting for several hedge funds, including the company’s biggest client.
Before joining Spectrum, Mr. Torres held the position of Treasurer at Mansur Capital Corporation and the Ontario Partners Funds, where he was responsible for all elements of accounting and financial reporting, including the company’s compliance needs.
Mr. Torres brings over 25 years of accounting experience to the firm, including twenty years in the investment and securities business. He holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Loyola University Chicago and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
